Creating Digital Infographics
A picture is worth a thousand words! Open up any newspaper or magazine and you will most likely find articles containing charts, diagrams, pictograms and other graphics presenting visual data and information. An infographic is an image that presents large amounts of data or information in interesting and meaningful ways. In the article “How Real Kids Create Infographics,” educator Kerry Gallagher explains how she incorporated infographics into her unit on the Civil War. Explore the example below, and then try using free online tools such as Infogram or Easelly to create your own.
